Painting in the Car

Painting outdoor ,'En plein air', is a nice pursuit in the summer, but the Winter can pose more of a challenge. For a start it tends to be cold, sometimes very cold! Apart from its effect on brass monkeys it also tend to freeze the water.
Not ideal if you are using watercolour.

The car maybe the answer. Parking in a good spot with a suitable view may pose a bit of a challenge. The average multi-story car park has limited views!. In this video Steve Cronin shows what can be done.

'I felt the itch to paint outdoors again after so many 'studio' works. I drove to Swann Pool at Kingsbury and stood by the icy shore. I was never going to paint outside as it was too cold so I returned to the car to paint the view from the driver's seat.'
