Anderson

Andersons 47 Tyndall St 
 

I am hoping some body will know some thing about my family the Anderson’s who lived in 47 Tyndall street Newtown they lived there in the 1800’s and 1900’s . I saw them in the censuses for theses times. My Grandmother was Janet Fish (nee Anderson) she was one of six children 5 girls and one boy.

Janet lived in Splott all her married life and died there in1969 she married Albert Edward Fish and had 22 children. I was told her sister named Eleanor was married to a Murphy and had a shop some where in Newtown and they had 17 children the other names where Mary. Alice. And Sarah who died quite young. The brother’s name was Herbert known as Hugh I was told he married a Lucy Hagerty and lived in rooms at 31, Tyndall Street with the Driscoll’s. There mother’s name was Ellen (nee Hughes) from Caernarfon and father was James Anderson he was Norwegian.

If any one can give me any information I would be so very grateful. My name is Alex Moody from Portmanmoor Road (born and bread there) I think it would be wonderful if there were more sites like this one so all these communities that are gone now are not forgotten and do not die with the old .
